Starlett Massey Recognized by Florida Association for Women Lawyers With President’s Award

Massey Law Group is pleased to announce that MLG Founding Shareholder, Starlett Massey has been recognized by the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL). Starlett and co-recipient Jen Feld of Feld Legal won the President’s Award in recognition of their work in the formation of a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, FAWL Support Organization Inc. (FSO), to support FAWL’s mission.

Founded in 1951, FAWL strives to propel women lawyers into economic, social, and leadership spheres of power. Starlett shared that working with Jen and FAWL’s dedicated leadership was an inspirational experience.

“I am delighted we were able to assist with the formation of the FAWL Support Organization, Inc. for the Florida Association of Women Lawyers. Our journey began when Jen Feld secured a substantial donation from a donor who was restricted to disbursing the funds to a 501(c)(3) organization within the current year. Thanks to the energy and attention of everyone involved, we were able to form the FSO and obtain its tax-exempt status within the year. We are all thrilled that these funds have been earmarked for lactation rooms in Florida courthouses and that the FSO can serve to increase FAWL’s impact and support of women lawyers in the future. Thanks to Jen’s tenacity and vision and the support of Thomasina Moore, FAWL’s Immediate Past President, we were able to add to the legacy of the women lawyers who came before us,” said Starlett Massey.
